Week 2 came and went in the blink of an eye!! It has been a fun week, and more and more we are feeling ‘at home’ here… This week we moved into the house where we are renting a room for the next couple of months. Being able to fully unpack and get organized in a place where we feel very welcomed and comfortable is a huge answer to prayer. The weather has been really nice (not too hot yet), so we have been working a lot outside on the beautiful patio. Other personal ‘wins’: Zap found a barber he likes (who used to cut hair in New York!) and will be playing some ‘futbol’ (aka: soccer) with guys from our ‘home church’ here. We also had a fun dinner out with friends at a local ‘churrascaría’.. where we tried about every kind of carne (meat) you can imagine!

We also made great strides this week on the Paraguay Inclusion Project. With each school we visit and each teacher and administrator we talk to, we are developing a better understanding of the ‘reality’ here in the schools. Classrooms are overcrowded (30-40 children per classroom). Many teachers do not have the experience or training needed to meet the diverse needs of children coming from backgrounds of poverty, abuse, neglect, etc. Imagine adding a child with a disability to that mix! It has been a challenge that, frankly, most schools have not been eager to take on. We are reminded daily that this is a God-sized project… and that what would be impossible for man is NOT impossible for God!

Inspiration this week came from a leadership conference with John Maxwell. Select leaders from Paraguay were invited to attend and were challenged to spark transformation within the country of Paraguay. It was an incredible opportunity to be able to attend and we pray Miracle 139 will be one of these change makers in the country of Paraguay!

It's a heartwarming when you know that there are people that always there to help others who are really in need. It's a pleasure for me to reach out those kind of people, especially those who don't have capability to earn money just to eat. I've recently watched a movie about group of kids who are living somewhere in Asia. They are walking 3 hours and need to pass through different obstacles that may put their lives into danger just to go to school. My heart is breaking as I watch the movie, but I believe that there's a new hope that is waiting for those young kids.
