Well, maybe not all of the way ready :) We still need to pack (haven't started!), wrap up some final projects at our jobs, fit in a few last minute meetings, and say some more 'see ya laters'. No problema!
In the meantime, God continues to amaze me with His connections. Just yesterday, Zap and I had the privilege of meeting a missionary couple who served in Paraguay for 43 years (and now live back in the States)! In fact, they raised all of their children in Paraguay, and the husband is fluent in Guarani (a second language spoken in Paraguay- mostly in the more remote areas). Who knew it was even possible to learn Guarani, lol?! Along with this missionary couple, we also met a couple our age who now pastor a church in Southern California. The husband is Brazilian and the wife is Paraguayan! Between these two couples, we learned some awesome tips... like instead of knocking at a door, it's common to clap to let someone know you've arrived! Or, not sharing their traditional terere drink when offered can be offensive - equivalent here to someone not reciprocating a hand shake! Yikes!! It looks like Zap may have to get over not drinking after someone!! :)
It will certainly be an adventure, but one that we are ready to begin! Thanks for your support, love and prayers along the way!
